Flexibility is the often neglected but equally important third pillar, along with cardio and strength, for optimal body function. This class focuses on stretching the muscles, joint mobility and core activation. It is perfect for those looking for something to compliment more vigorous exercise as well as those bodies that are feeling the effects of age.
Postnatal friendly classes are open for everyone to attend. The classes are designed to assist in regaining strength and fitness with a focus of muscles and posture which are compromised during pregnancy and baby carrying, breast feeding etc.
Clearance by a health professional to return to exercise is required before enrolling.
Babies minding services are available so you can devote the 45 minute class to focusing on yourself your postpartum recovery.
Please purchase a postnatal class pack if you are planning on attending the studio with your baby.
The aim of this one off session is to ensure you are confident and comfortable moving your body and navigating the reformer as well as determining which class is most suitable for your body and your goals.
Lead by Pillar’s chiropractors and clinical Pilates instructors, this is the ideal starting point for those who are new to reformer Pilates, or whose bodies are compromised in some capacity.
Pillar offers private sessions for clients who prefer to exercise in this manner or who feel they would benefit from individual attention to improve their confidence and body awareness before entering a small group class.
Designed for clients who would like more individualised instruction and enjoy exercising with their partner, parent or friend.
Pillar’s skilled instructors are able to cater to varying abilities between couples whilst ensuring the full benefits of a semi-private session are achieved.
